Using store-bought phyllo pastry, you will create cups, triangles, rectangles, and parcels to hold a variety of savoury and sweet fillings.

By the end of this class you will be confident enough to skip the frozen appetizer aisle and create your own special appetizers for any occasion.

Dumplings

Master the basics of dumplings. In this hands-on class, learn to make dumpling wrappers, fillings, and dipping sauces. You'll also get a chance to work with store-bought dumpling wrappers. You'll be shown how to wrap many different dumpling shapes including pleated crescent, triangle, and tortellini among many others. This class will focus on the classic Japanese gyoza and a vegetarian dumpling; however, by the end of this class you'll be confident enough to create your own unique dumpling.

Filled Pastas

Description:

This is a hands-on class focused on creating your own filled pastas. Learn to make a fresh pasta dough perfect for rolling out (using different methods) to create delicate ravioli, tortellini, and agnolotti.

We will make a fresh ricotta cheese to use in creating some delicious fillings.

  • Agnolotti w/Lemon Thyme Ricotta
  • Tortellini w/Sage Mushroom Duxelle & Ricotta
  • Ravioli w/Butternut Squash & Ricotta

After practicing filling and shaping our pasta, we will prepare a brown butter sauce and taste our creations.

You will leave this class with all the skills you need to make your own filled pastas at home.

Holiday Baking Party!

It's time for the holidays and Sarah is back to share her favorite plant based dessert recipes! Enjoy the quintessentially Canadian classics- Butter Tarts and Nanaimo Bars! We'll also be baking some maple cider donuts, and decorating sugar cookies to get into the festive spirit, so bring your A++ decorating game. Did we mention there will be hot cocoa and a holiday playlist?! All recipes are egg and dairy free, but we promise your loved ones won't notice the difference when you bring them home to share.
